One Acts

The One Act Competition is a theater competition for high schools sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association. Each high school participating has to put together a 40 minute cut of a show and perform it at a Regional Festival, where they compete against any number of other schools within their class (there is a class A and a class B). Each school gets 5 minutes to assemble their set, and 5 minutes to strike it. Not a second longer for either, and they cannot run over 40 minutes otherwise they are disqualified. One show is then selected from Regionals to move on to States, then New Englands.
